Performance Art Comic

I thought this work is interesting. So I decided to blog about it. Basically it is a performance art using comic and human body as forms of narration.

Here’s an extract from the website:
“These are a few pics from the performance art piece Kaletia, Kip, and I collaborated on for April 25 at the Glass Gallery at UTEP.  Kaletia concieved of the idea to cover her body in comic style art containing stories from her life.  We discussed reinterpereting her lifestories in a sensationalistic comic style as well, her father the god Horus, her mother a warrior, herself a superhero.  I desired to break the tradional comic style and be more expressionistic in my panels, but ultimately went with the desired “comic” style.  Kip and I hammered out the details of what went on her body, she told us the stories to tell.”
